More than $1 Billion Capital Investment
On April 19, 2012, Baxter International announced it will locate a new bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Georgia. The new facility will manufacture plasma-based therapies that treat chronic and life-threatening illnesses. It will be located in Stanton Springs, a business park that spans Jasper, Morgan, Newton and Walton counties. The operation will also include warehouse and distribution facilities. In addition, Baxter will locate plasma centers in a number of communities around the state. The project brings 1,500 new jobs, with the potential for hundreds more, and capital investment in excess of $1 billion.
