American Textile Company
100 new jobs
In January, American Textile Company (ATC) announced plans to expand its presence in Georgia, opening a new production and distribution facility and creating 100 jobs.
The 218-000-square-foot state-of-the-art plant, located in Tifton's Magnolia Industrial Park, produces and distributes millions of bed pillows annually. Just three years after opening the Tifton facility, ATC is growing well ahead of plan. The company says it has seen increasing consumer demand for its specialty bedding products, as evidenced by ATC's 15 percent annual growth.
"Our expansion so soon after opening is fueled in part by consumer demand for our AllerEase® allergen barrier and EvenTemp™ temperature regulation bedding products, but also by the positive business climate we've seen in Tifton," said Lance Ruttenberg, ATC President and CEO. "Access to a skilled workforce and strong county support were key factors in choosing to expand here."
Headquartered in Duquesne, PA, American Textile Company is a leading supplier of quality mattress and pillow protectors, bed pillows and mattress pads. Brands include Aller-Ease®, designed for asthma and allergy sufferers; Rest Right TM, high performance bedding solutions; DermaTherapy®, for people with sensitive skin or chronic skin problems; and Cool Sensations™, bedding constructed with innovative fabric technology that manages the discomfort associated with night sweats. The Tifton facility is one of four U.S. plants for the company, in addition to operations in China and El Salvador.
