State partners are sharing their best tools with local communities at GEDA Spring Workshop.

Join state partner sessions at GEDA Spring Workshop to explore tools and services that provide accurate and reliable information to help Georgia communities with site selection and more.

“There's a real, positive impact when you can help bring opportunities to areas, especially where they’re needed most. It’s a great feeling.”

- Earnest Johnson, Civil Engineer

Accurate and reliable data is to site selection what sand is to the beach - essential. Fortunately, more than ever, economic development professionals have a wide array of programs and tools to help them consistently provide incredible data and information to businesses and their communities.

At the Georgia Economic Developers Association’s (GEDA) Spring Workshop at Jekyll Island, State and utility partners will be sharing information on the latest programs and tools available in research, engineering, and more.

Community & Economic Development is excited to participate in three sessions with partners from the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Electric Cities of Georgia (ECG), and Georgia EMC. Panelists will provide an overview of the services they can provide to the communities they serve, many of which are available at no cost as part of our shared mission to grow local communities and the state of Georgia. These include resources and tools to assist with

  • Industry insights
  • Workforce and labor trends
  • Site development and engineering
  • Commercial real estate property data

At the State Partner session on Friday, participants will be discussing their collaboration to create a single building source for Georgia’s economic development partners and communities. They will be joined by Henry Moore, Co-Founder & CEO of Resimlifi. A third-party solution, REsimplifi, has been selected to populate a single building data source. REsimplifi will ensure that the data on available buildings and properties are managed for accuracy and completeness. Moore will be available to provide information on how communities can utilize this new tool and customize it to meet their needs.

"Finding the right site options is a critical part of the process, and we're here to make that more manageable for businesses."

- Jeff DeWitt, GIS Administrator

The goal of these sessions is to equip Georgia communities with the best tools and resources available for data & research, GIS, and engineering.

We can help businesses and leaders make the best decisions possible using accurate and timely information. With faster, more accurate, and reliable data, you may even have extra time to enjoy the beach while visiting Jekyll Island!
