Together with our state and local partners, our Community and Economic Development team helped create and retain over 7,000 jobs in Georgia in the first quarter of the year, as well as $2.9 billion in capital investment. The non-manufacturing sectors accounted for 82% of job creation led by the administrative and support service industry (Carvana location). Warehousing and distribution came in second due to Ryder System’s distribution center in Locust Grove.
