Following two consecutive record-setting years of announcements, 2024 started as the year of groundbreakings. Across the state, companies are putting shovel to dirt, estimating days until operational, and recruiting for the new jobs required to run the facilities and lead the organization. This includes Quick Start breaking ground on the Hyundai Mobility Training Center.
The first quarter of 2024 returned healthy jobs and capital investment results, mirroring the prosperity of the years preceding our recent back-to-back record-setting economic development years. To date, 27 companies either established or expanded operations in Georgia, and 20 of those announcements are outside of metro Atlanta.
