In partnership with the state and local communities, we continue to track a robust project pipeline and share new business locations and expansions.

Since January of 2024, the Economic Development team *supported 61 companies to either establish or expand operations in Georgia, creating nearly 9,000 new jobs and $5.5 billion in capital investment.

Notably, job creation and investment in projects located outside of metro Atlanta are higher than last year, representing 64% of new jobs and 75% of investment. Manufacturing locations remains the majority contributor of our job activity at nearly 60%, even as fiscal stimulus begins to wane.
